Placement & Measuring Tips for Boats

For the best look, install these Storm decals along the main hull line, above the waterline. Most customers start a few inches behind the bow curve and run the design back toward the rear cleats or swim platform, keeping clear of major steps, rail mounts and hardware.

Measure that straight run on each side of your boat, then choose the closest decal length up to 10 ft. If needed, you can trim the very tips at the bow or stern after installation for a perfect custom fit.

FAQ: How do I choose the right length?

Measure the flat, open area where you want the graphic – usually from 6–8" behind the bow curve to just before the transom hardware. Pick the decal length that fits within that space. If you’re between sizes, choosing the slightly longer option and trimming the tips is usually the best approach.
